Conway – Blakk Tape
Step into the gritty world of Buffalo hip-hop with Blakk Tape by Conway The Machine. Originally released in 2018, this ten-track project pairs his distinctive delivery and vivid street storytelling with dark, stripped-back production.
Produced primarily by Daringer, with contributions from V Don and Bozack Morris, Blakk Tape captures the uncompromising sound associated with Griselda. Tracks such as “Devil's Work”, “Puzo” and “Rare Form” put Conway’s commanding presence at the centre of the record.
The 2024 SCMD Music reissue brings the project back to vinyl, making it a fitting addition for collectors of underground hip-hop and the Griselda catalogue.
